Los Tacos del Pepe

Food was delicious! Ate the tacos de suadero bien ricos! Server was quick and nice. Place was dark n colors or vibe I am not a fan of but food was good. Has catering, can't wait to order!

Good street tacos with a good variety of meat flavors and accessible prices. Every taco plate comes with 4 tacos, and a side of sauteed onions and potatoes, and you can mix up to two taco flavors. We got Tacos de Caballo (sirloin) and Pastor, both were pretty good, for the Pastor, tip: don't forget to ask for pineapple. The other combo was Quesabirrias (my favorite since it comes with a small consomé where you can drown your quesadilla), and Matamoros (it comes with a lot of cheese, which shadows the meat but they were not that bad). The salsas were pretty good too, some of them are really spicy (although nothing extreme). Something worth mentioning is that apparently they make the tacos with a decent amount of oil, which might be a problem for some people who are looking for a healthier option. Our tacos took a while since there was a big order before us, but the service itself is good.

Soo delicious! Service was great and food was absolutely delicious. I got the quesobirria tacos and it came with grilled onion and the most delicious potatoes. Very authentic food. I give it a 4.5/5 just because it is a little pricier than other mexican places and it took a little bit for the food to be ready, but the price reflects in the quality. First time trying this place and will be back!! Highly recommend.

Hands down the best lunch I've had in my entire life, I mean look at the picture, look at that! If you live in Laredo and haven't been here, you're missing out. 10/10 food and service I got the tacos quesabirria with papas, salsa, and an agua fresca de pepino y limon - all for a great price. Overall fine experience at Tacos Del Pepe. I originally wanted to get the chicharrón as it is marketed as an appetizer but the waitress informed us it would be 20 mins before they were ready so we went with the corn instead. The corn as shown was delicious. Served well and quite large, we expected a smaller portion. The frijoles charros were great, 4/5 just a tad bit salty. The tacos were amazing, tasted great and plated well. The overall ambiance was alright, they raised the music volume halfway during our meal and it was quite noticeable. Remember, loud music doesn’t make food taste better. Lastly, I felt the price was a bit too excessive coming in at $90 for everything. Sure they’re “chic/posh” tacos, but I feel it was too much coming from a taco place where the market here in Laredo is saturated with taco spots.

The Matamoros tacos had this sauce that tasted too much like avocado but it was too much, you couldn't taste the meat. The meat from the pastor tacos needed more flavor. Service was excellent though.
